The Institute has a number of initiatives including its own Academy, the world's first practising certificate in turnaround and transformation, and a new initiative with Lloyds Banking Group to support SMEs.
TRANSFORMATION SUPPORT FOR SMEs
Running a business goes hand-in-hand with challenge. Organisations that are successful over a long period of time tend to be those that are well led, by people who have the attitude that problems should be faced up to and dealt with decisively. Lloyds Bank Business Support has chosen IFT members to provide its challenged SME customers with access to a new service that gives them an IFT lifeline.
It is a template that may be adpated and customised for other, blue-chip banking brands.

IFT is developing its own Academy, for the next generation of turnaround and transformation practitioners.
The Academy offers a defined training route, through the demonstrable acquisition of core competencies, and an appreciation of turnaround and transformation culture.
In so doing, we aim to professionalise and increase the pool of talent that is available to deploy in situations where urgent, profound and radical change is required.
The programme runs for 18 months, and gives participants a structured grounding and insight into organisational turnaround and transformation. It consists of six integrated modules:
