How to be considered

We have streamlined the application process and welcome approaches from potential new members. We have designed the new process to be simple and supportive. Our members are private, public and third sector professionals who specialise in the turnaround market. To apply for membership the IFT Executive team is able to assist and offer guidance. Applicants submit the following:

An up to date chronologically complete CV (a specimen is available on request);
Three turnaround case studies that clearly highlight what your role and involvement was in each case. The IFT Executive can help provide advice, guidance and examples. These must be submitted in the IFT format and should be around 250 words long; plus the name and contact details of a referee for each case study. The referee will be an individual to whom you were responsible whilst on the assignment;
The names of two individuals who are prepared to sponsor your application (click below for Sponsor Criteria);
IFT's Core Competencies Assessment Form, this can be provided by the Executive team

Note: We advise all applicants to inform their referees and sponsors of their pending application for IFT Membership. The Executive team will follow up on all referees and sponsors.

Once your application has been reviewed by the Executive team, you will then be invited to discuss your application with two of our Accreditors (IFT Members). The conversation will last between 60 to 90 minutes. Its purpose is for you to demonstrate that you have the appropriate experience and knowledge to be considered for membership of the IFT and for us to explain the benefits of joining.
